  • Positions ranging from hands-on plant operations to Vice President of an effective organization serving the fossil utility industry in training and engineering services
  • Conducted assessments for more than eight power industry organizations
  • Managed many successful power plant training and documentation projects

  • Bachelor's Degree Nuclear Science
  • Master's Degree Business Administration 
  • Chief Power Engineer, National Institute of Power Engineers
  • Chief Engineer, U.S.C.G, Steam Vessels of Any Horsepower

MICHAEL MCCLINTOCK - VICE PRESIDENT

Michael McClintock

35+ years power industry experience:

  • Turbine-generator operations, maintenance, and controls
  • Plant thermal performance and application of advanced computer tools to solve plant problems 

Current activities focus on:

  • Power plant operations and development of training programs
  • Gas turbine and combined cycle plant acceptance tests including development & review of test procedures/ protocols, managing/witnessing testing, developing software/spreadsheets to calculate test results and troubleshooting problems
  • Thermal performance improvement programs including use of advanced computer tools
  • Classroom instruction especially in turbine-generators and thermal performance 

Experience:

  • Managed large power plant training and documentation projects for utilities and IPPs 
  • Developed thermal improvement programs, test procedures, and specialized software for thermal performance applications
  • Managed the development and implementation of computer applications for monitoring power plant thermal performance, including some based on artificial intelligence in the form of expert systems
  • Ten years Experience with General Electric; served as Lead Turbine
  • Generator Erector, Startup Engineer, and Factory Engineer
  • One year with Pratt & Whitney as a Design Engineer

Professional Education and Licenses:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Aeronautical & Aerospace Engineering
  • Professional Engineers License (Retired), Maryland 
  • GE's Advanced Startup Engineer's Program
  • Member, American Society Mechanical Engineers 
  • Holds Chief Engineer's license from NIULPE

SCOTT HOMMEL - VICE PRESIDENT

Michael McClintock

25+ years power industry experience

  • Plant training, operations, and maintenance, including fossil, geothermal, and hydro
  • Transmission & Distribution training and operations

Current activities focus on:

  • Power plant operations and development of training programs
  • Training programs, system descriptions, and operating and maintenance procedures review and development
  • Maintaining FCS as a NERC-certified training provider

Experience:

  • Managed many successful power plant training and documentation projects
  • Ten years United States Navy Nuclear Power Program, including Electrical Operator and Physics Instructor
  • Director of Transmission & Distribution Services for a large technical services company serving the electric utility industry

Professional Education and Licenses:

  • Bachelor's Degree , Electronics Management, Southern Illinois University , with honors
  • Graduate United States Navy Nuclear Power School
  • United States Navy Master Training Specialist EPA Residential & Commercial Air Conditioning & Refrigeration “Universal” Technician
